Dr. Mutulu Shakur, an acupuncture pioneer at the former People’s Detox Center, was commemorated for his legacy by having his friends and comrades share testimonials. Community members also shared their collective vision of transforming an abandoned city-owned building into a thriving community-managed hub with an emphasis on (H)ealth,(E)ducation, and the (A)rts / HEArts.
